LPA is seeking a passionate Entry Level Mechanical Designer to join our integrated team of architects, engineers, interior designers, landscape architects and master planners. As a member of our mechanical engineering team, you will work on a broad range of projects from office, education and recreation buildings to complex laboratories, health care facilities, and performing arts centers. What You Will Do  Participate in the integrated design process with other disciplines at LPA  Assist Engineers, Architects, Project Designers and Project Managers in the execution of building design assignments  Prepare engineering calculations and documentation for schematic design, design development and construction documents  Select equipment, systems and products related to projects  Review and process construction administration documents  Attend construction meetings and field visits to further understand detailing and coordination What We Will Do  Provide mentorship from Managing Directors and Design Directors as well as other in-house disciplines on all projects  Provide career growth opportunities including licensure materials and financial incentives, professional development grants and our professional development process  Education opportunities including LPA+U, LPA Tech Talks and Lunch and Learns Entry-Level Mechanical Designer Requirements  BachelorÂs Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field  0-2 years of experience in mechanical engineering and the design of building HVAC systems  Proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit, and good knowledge of energy analysis software preferred  Enthusiastic commitment to the multidisciplinary design process and team environment  Curious and open minded to learn  Strong written and verbal communication skills LPA is an integrated design firm with offices in California and Texas. The salary range for this position is $64,000 - $94,000 and is eligible for an annual bonus. If you are hired at LPA, your base salary is based on factors such as geographic location, skills, education, experience and/or project complexity.
