Employer Industry: Criminal Justice Reform Why Consider This Job Opportunity...  Opportunity to work closely with recently elected prosecutive leaders committed to criminal justice reform  Chance to contribute to new innovations and strategies for reducing incarceration, promoting diversion and bail reform, and enhancing transparency and accountability  Support in educating and fortifying prosecutive leaders in their commitment to implement new approaches to promoting healthier and safer communities  Exposure to reform-oriented national justice thinking and best practices  Collaboration with national organizations, academics, and justice system leaders  Ability to work remotely or in a New York office What To Expect (Job Responsibilities)  Conduct research and draft briefing papers on criminal justice issues and reforms  Manage amicus briefs and sign-on statements addressing timely criminal justice issues  Gather information from prosecutors and subject matter experts on best practices and justice system inequities  Facilitate in-person and remote gatherings for prosecutive leaders to learn from each other and experts in the field  Assist in interviews, surveys, and support for prosecutive leaders in the network What Is Required (Qualifications)  Bachelor's degree and JD, Master's Degree, or equivalent post-graduate degree  Four years or more of experience in criminal justice legal or policy work  Understanding of justice reform work and systems  Strong writing, research, and oral communication skills  Ability to prioritize tasks and keep a large national project organized  Ability to communicate effectively with elected prosecutive leaders and their staff  Ability to work in a non-traditional environment and supervise junior staff  Ability to work independently and manage projects How To Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications)  Diverse educational and experiential backgrounds  Experience in reforms of prosecution and the criminal legal system  Virtual team collaboration experience At Talentify, we prioritize candidate privacy and champion equal-opportunity employment.
