Description: • Join Airbnb’s dynamic Global Compensation Accounting team, a supportive group committed to operational excellence and enabling Airbnb’s rapid global expansion. • You’ll work in a fast-paced, high-growth environment, collaborating closely with colleagues across Finance, Legal, Talent, Payroll Operations, Equity Administration, and Benefits. • In this role, you’ll ensure the integrity and accuracy of Airbnb’s compensation, payroll, and benefits accounting on a global scale. • By reconciling accounts, supporting financial closes, and ensuring compliance, you’ll contribute to reliable and timely financial statements. • Success in this role is measured by accurate and SOX-compliant reporting, seamless cross-functional collaboration, and successful delivery of ad hoc projects and process improvements. • Perform monthly and quarterly close activities, including preparing journal entries and conducting detailed balance sheet and P&L analyses. • Reconcile compensation-related general ledger accounts and create supporting schedules for internal and external reporting. • Collaborate with global Payroll Operations, Equity Administration, Benefits, Finance, Legal, and Talent teams to ensure accurate financial statements. • Support management with special projects, ad hoc analyses, and process improvements, leveraging technology wherever possible. • Ensure SOX compliance and accurate GAAP reporting through diligent monitoring of key controls. • Participate in transitions and knowledge transfers to monitor critical deliverables, sharing expertise with global partners. Requirements: • Minimum 3 years’ relevant experience in accounting or finance; public accounting experience preferred. • BA/BS in Accounting or Finance; CPA strongly preferred. • Track record of delivering accurate work in a fast-paced, high-growth environment. • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and hands-on experience with ERP systems such as Workday and/or Oracle. • Strong communication, analytical, organizational, and critical thinking skills. • Self-starter with the ability to work independently, form conclusions, and present findings to cross-functional stakeholders. • Experience thriving as a team player and collaborating effectively with both local and international partners.
