Overview We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Permit Technician to join our team. We are a fast growing permit expediting company dedicated to assisting contractors and developers pull permits for their construction jobs in a timely and efficient manner throughout the state of Florida. Duties Key Responsibilities: • Prepare, submit, and manage permit applications for various construction projects. • Review and ensure compliance of applications with local, state, and federal regulations. • Act as the primary point of contact with building departments, clients, and private providers to facilitate permit approvals. • Maintain detailed records of permit applications, approvals, and correspondence. • Conduct follow-ups with local agencies to ensure timely processing and resolution of issues. • Assist in coordinating inspections and other permit-related services. • Stay updated on changing permitting regulations and codes. • Provide excellent customer service to clients by answering inquiries and resolving concerns related to the permitting process. • Perform general administrative duties, including notarizing documents, if certified. Qualifications: • Minimum of 2 years of experience in Construction Trade Permitting or a related field. • Proven ability to work with local building departments and private providers. • Knowledge of local and state building codes and regulations. • Notary certification is highly preferred. • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines. • Excellent verbal and written communication skills. • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant software. • Customer-focused attitude with a commitment to providing exceptional service. Preferred Qualifications: • Familiarity with private providers and their role in the permitting process. • Experience working in a fast-paced environment. • Additional certifications in construction, project management, or related fields.
