I’m a full-time professional who previously ran a small resale business on the side, which is now in the process of being closed. Years ago, I sold used branded products to another individual, who is now being sued for trademark infringement. That individual allegedly marketed the products as new. I’ve been subpoenaed as a third-party witness in the case and have already produced documents and sat for a multi-hour deposition. The brand has now filed a motion to enforce the subpoena, seeking additional documents. Their attorneys have also been serving legal documents to both my home and my full-time workplace, which is disruptive and stressful.
