Inspire and Support Students with Hearing Loss: Hiring a DHH Teacher in New Orleans, LA
We are looking for a passionate and qualified Teacher of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing (DHH) to join a dedicated K–12 school team in New Orleans, Louisiana. This full-time, onsite opportunity offers you the chance to make a meaningful impact by supporting students with hearing impairments in reaching their full academic and social potential.
Position Details:

• Caseload: K–12
• Type: Full-Time, Onsite
• Start Date: 2025–2026 School Year
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide direct instruction and support to students who are deaf or hard of hearing
• Develop and implement IEPs tailored to students’ hearing needs
• Adapt curriculum and instructional strategies for accessibility
• Collaborate with general education staff, speech-language pathologists, and audiologists
• Support students with auditory training, speech development, and communication strategies
• Communicate effectively with families and provide resources for home support
Requirements:
• Valid Louisiana teaching certification with DHH endorsement
• Experience working with students who are deaf or hard of hearing
• Familiarity with assistive listening devices, ASL, and/or cued speech
• Strong collaboration, communication, and organizational skills
• Commitment to inclusive and accessible education
