About the position The Department of Data Science at New Jersey Institute of Technology (NJIT) is seeking candidates for the position of Online University Lecturer/Senior University Lecturer. Responsibilities • Teach online undergraduate and graduate courses related to data science, programming, and algorithms and data structures. , • Create course content and materials with a focus on hands-on experiential and project-based learning. , • Utilize learning management systems and online collaboration tools to enhance the learning experience. , • Engage with students through online platforms to facilitate learning and provide support. , • Continuously improve course materials based on student feedback and advancements in the field. Requirements • MS degree in Data Science, Computer Science, or a related computing area. , • Expert knowledge in data management, programming, and algorithms and data structures, demonstrated through teaching excellence or industrial experience. , • Experience teaching online courses and designing online course content. , • Familiarity with learning management systems (e.g., Canvas) and online video conferencing tools (e.g., WebEx, Slack). , • Ability to demonstrate an equivalent combination of education and experience if necessary.
