Freight Dispatch Operations Consultant

Remote, USA Full-time Posted 2025-11-03
Freight Dispatch Operations Consultant Description: I’m looking for an experienced logistics or operations professional to help me design and build out the operational backbone of a U.S.–based freight dispatching business. What I need from you: You must have proven experience in managing dispatch operations where each dispatcher effectively handled 5–10+ trucks — not just personally dispatching, but ensuring that across a team there was a repeatable, proven system that scaled beyond individual skill. I’m looking for someone who can: • Audit and advise on best practices for freight dispatching operations. • Help outline SOPs, workflows, CMS/TMS/CRM setups, and dispatch management processes. • Identify pitfalls and scalability traps when growing from 1–2 trucks to 10+ and beyond. • Share insights on structuring teams so multiple dispatchers can manage trucks efficiently. This is not a dispatcher role. I’m hiring you for your brain and operational expertise to help build systems that my team (and I) can execute on. Who you are: • You have experience as a Dispatch Manager or Operations Manager in trucking/logistics. • You’ve managed or overseen teams of dispatchers or an operation moving 5–10+ trucks per dispatcher. • You understand CMS/CRM/TMS tools (like Morpho, Truckstop, DAT, or similar) and how to implement them. • You have a history of creating SOPs and scalable systems in logistics or freight dispatching. Budget & Expectations: • Budget: $10–$15/hr • This is a short-term consulting project, but if you demonstrate exceptional value, I’m open to expanding the relationship further. • If you believe your expertise merits a higher rate, tell me why. Show me your track record and credibility — I want to hear what makes you elite. Deliverables: • A clear, documented plan (SOPs, workflows, or step-by-step frameworks) for scaling dispatch operations. • Recommendations for systems (CMS, CRM, TMS) and how to structure teams to handle increasing load volumes. • A list of key pitfalls and how to avoid them when scaling. ⸻ If this fits your experience, please apply and: 1. Share a brief intro of your background in logistics/dispatch management. 2. Highlight examples where you’ve scaled or optimized operations (specific numbers help). 3. Include tools/systems you’ve implemented (TMS, CMS, CRM, etc.). 4. Let me know your rate and why you’re the right person to help build this out. Apply tot his job
