About the position The Outside Sales position for Construction Equipment & Tools at Direct Sales involves engaging with rental companies, construction equipment dealers, and contractor supply stores across Alaska. This part-time, contract role is designed for a disciplined individual capable of working independently from home while building relationships in the industry. The position offers a commission-based compensation model with a draw on commission to start, and it has the potential to evolve into a full-time role. Responsibilities • Engage in face-to-face selling within the designated territory of Alaska. , • Build and maintain relationships with rental companies, construction equipment dealers, and contractor supply stores. , • Deliver and demonstrate equipment as needed. , • Work independently from home while managing sales activities. , • Participate in product training provided by manufacturers. Requirements • Five years of experience in sales, preferably in the wholesale market or equipment rental industry. , • Strong customer service skills and experience in outside sales. , • Ability to manage accounts and negotiate effectively. , • Disability determination experience is a plus. , • Must have a pickup truck for transportation. Nice-to-haves • Experience in the contractor supply store industry (STAFDA). , • Familiarity with the Chris Voss communication philosophy.
