Your Role
The Program Manager for the VS Technology Program Management Office (PMO) is an expert in portfolio, program, and project management. Highly proficient at executing all aspects of a diverse, very complex information technology program, or multiple large-scale IT projects. Must demonstrate visioning and expertise across multiple methodologies and approaches to both project and systems development life cycles. Ensures projects are aligned with VS&Co standards and IT strategies.
Leverages consistent standards to cultivate a shared understanding of Enterprise Technology Portfolio, Program and Project health. Applies lean principles to reduce process waste. Influences, educates, and applies a project delivery framework that provides a consistent structure while enabling agility.
Must be able to work, lead and deliver globally. Demonstrates shared accountability for cultivating a PMO team of Leaders confident in their ability to drive technology initiatives. Establishes and communicates goals. Directs team activity. Expected to coach, knowledge share and teach lower-banded
PMO roles, having a perspective on mastery of the PM craft. Runs as an independent expert across the PMO, regularly leading learning sessions and driving capability uplift. Leads new employee recruitment and on-boarding planning, coordination, and execution. Will have direct reports with associated talent management expectations and responsibilities.

Your Impact
Program and Project Delivery
• Be a recognized leader across the PMO, Technology organization and VS&Co
• Act as a primary PMO consultant responsible for providing program / project delivery support to business and technology partners, inclusive of education on and adherence to the VS&Co IT PMO project delivery framework
• Ensure strategic alignment and enable success of major IT initiatives spanning multiple business units or organizations
• Define, lead, and execute successful integration and dependency management capability across the various requests, projects, and programs
• Monitor, assess, provide visibility to, and drive necessary action on program / project progress across assigned portfolio of work
• Independently execute large program efforts or very high complexity projects with minimal coaching from more senior Program Management Office staff
• Create and execute large-scale program / project plans that may involve multiple disciplines in the information technology field; leads program / project teams in the development and implementation of detailed work plans, schedules, program / project estimates, resource plans and status reports
• Anticipate challenges inhibiting successful program / project delivery
• Facilitate resolution, mitigation, and appropriate escalation of project controls to senior leadership
• Demonstrate effective vendor management capability across programs and projects
• Define performance standards for project team members: provide appropriate performance feedback and mentoring / coaching to assist project team members in achieving success
• Be a thought partner and escalation point for project managers to appropriately address challenges
Project Intake & Prioritization
• Acts as a primary PMO consultant responsible for providing portfolio management support to technology partners, inclusive of education and guidance on navigating VS&Co Technology Intake & Portfolio Management processes
• Support timely and accurate intake of all technology requests
• Participate in strategic planning process for a given portfolio of work by identifying and providing solution ideation on complexities, dependencies, constraints
• Partner with technology leaders to drive PAR estimation, creation, and submission activities, ensuring high quality deliverables
• Proactively assess PMO capacity vs. demand, providing a perspective on and obtaining PMO Leadership alignment on staffing approaches
• Provide visibility to technology partners on the pipeline status of their technology requests, with a goal of real time world-wide visibility
• Provide visibility to technology partners on their active portfolio of initiatives, with a goal of real time world-wide visibility
• Influence Portfolio Data Quality; proactively monitor and action compliance reporting / dashboards (Finance, Capacity & Resource Management, Portfolio & Project Management)
• Provide analytics for increased data integrity and escalation of portfolio trends / issues
• Provide input to discussion forums highlighting key enterprise portfolio accomplishments, challenges, and dependencies
• Provide resource capacity vs demand views to technology partners to support project prioritization and portfolio health discussions
Project Framework, Governance and Education
• Ensure consistent application of tools, processes, and templates for Portfolio Management and Program / Project Delivery; monitor compliance with policies and standards
• Champion the PMO ‘Centre of Excellence’ to nurture project management practitioners and share knowledge of industry best practices
• Champion continued refinement of and education on PMO processes, tools, and templates
·Provide input on pain points and improvement ideas
·Continuously simplify and streamline everything (aka "do less with less")
·Actively participate in forums for best practice refresher and capability uplift training for PMO team members, and key partners when relevant
• Foster an environment where project managers actively "tinker", learn, and improve their craft
• Establish and maintain collaborative, high performing partnerships with the PMO ‘Enterprise Portfolio Management & PMO Processes’ leader, VS Finance, and VS Capacity & Resource Management
Qualifications
Your Experience
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
• 12+ years of experience with 7+ years of specialty in Portfolio, Program, and Project Management
• Experience with Business Analysis, Organization Change Management, and Resource Management
• Experience with managing direct reports, both internal associates and contractors
