Are you a creative and analytical student eager to contribute to global aging and longevity initiatives at AARP International? Your Role Here’s what you will be doing: • Perform a range of tasks depending on project, research, and communications needs • Identify and research global thought leaders across numerous industries • Draft social media copy based on existing International reports • Stay up to date on trending issues related to global aging and healthy longevity • Provide event support, including assisting in logistics for global thought leadership events • Contribute to production of AARP The Journal, including identifying contributors and drafting invitations • Provide administrative support, including developing a database of International contacts About You The company is looking for: • Enrolled student at an accredited college or university (rising undergraduate junior/senior, graduate, or postdoctoral student) remaining academically enrolled throughout the internship • Pursuing a degree in political science, economics, public policy, communications, or related fields • Highly organized with the ability to see the “big picture” and attention to detail • Creative, proactive, and entrepreneurial mindset with initiative • Strong interest in aging, longevity, health, and financial security issues • Good written and oral communication skills, including social media • Self-starter, adaptable, and able to manage multiple projects and priorities • Familiarity with video creation/editing and multiple social media platforms is a plus • Fluency in Spanish is a plus but not required • Must have regular and reliable attendance and maintain professional relationships • Ability to work effectively in an office/open office environment with moderate noise Compensation & Benefits • Hourly pay: $18 for undergraduates, $21 for graduate students, $28 for Ph.D. candidates • Paid internship, non-exempt position, not eligible for employee benefits • Hybrid work environment with remote work on Mondays and Fridays within the U.S. and its territories Career Progression • Opportunity to contribute to projects, reports, and engagements that support career advancement • Potential extension of internship for an additional semester How to Apply • Submit your application through the provided link, ensuring all required information is included.
