Senior Data Scientist (100% Remote): Pharma & Claims Data Expert (Contract-to-Hire)

Rower is hiring a Full-Time Data Scientist with deep experience in the pharmaceutical space and a proven track record working with healthcare claims data. This is a contract-to-hire role, ideal for someone who can hit the ground running and wants to grow into a long-term strategic position on high-impact projects. What We re Looking For: 8+ years of hands-on experience in data science, analytics, or statistical modeling Deep pharma domain knowledge including commercial analytics, market access, or patient/HCP analytics Strong expertise with claims data (e.g., Symphony, IQVIA, Komodo, Optum, Flatiron, etc.) Proven ability to derive actionable insights from complex healthcare datasets Experience working cross-functionally with commercial, HEOR, or RWE teams Proficient in Python, SQL, and data visualization tools (Tableau, Power BI, etc.) Experience with modeling techniques: predictive modeling, clustering, segmentation, etc. Bonus Points For: Familiarity with EMR/EHR data, clinical trial data, or longitudinal patient journey analytics Knowledge of Snowflake, Databricks, or other modern data platforms Strong communication skills ability to translate complex data into business strategy Role Highlights: Support strategic initiatives for top pharmaceutical clients Contribute to AI-driven solutions and real-world analytics platforms Work directly with Rower s senior team of analytics and product experts Opportunity to convert to a full-time leadership role About Rower: We re a high-impact data and AI strategy firm that delivers intelligent systems for industry leaders in pharma, CPG, healthcare, and more.
