Event Promoter & Programming Contractor
Job Summary
Twin Cities Community Agricultural Land Trust (TCALT) https://tcalt.wpcomstaging.com/ is a nonprofit organization dedicated to securing long-term land access for sustainable, community-led urban agriculture in the Twin Cities. We support local growers and community projects that advance food justice, climate resilience, and economic opportunity for BIPOC groups.
We are seeking a programming contractor and event promoter to join our team and help us grow our programming. This role will support the planning and promotion of TCALT’s Annual Fall Potluck on October 4, 2025. The ideal candidate is someone who is passionate about community-building, enjoys coordinating events, and can help us expand our reach by connecting with local partners and promoting our mission. This is a short-term, flexible opportunity to contribute to a meaningful project rooted in food justice and urban agriculture.
Responsibilities include:
• Assisting the Program Director in planning and coordinating event details
• Promoting the event through local channels, community groups, and social media
• Providing hands-on support on the day of the event, including setup, signage, and welcoming guests
Qualifications:
• Experience with community event planning or grassroots organizing
• Strong communication and outreach skills
• Comfortable using email and basic digital tools
• Organized, reliable, and able to work independently
• Interest in food justice, community agriculture, or related issues is a plus
Compensation:
$16–$22 per hour, depending on experience and qualifications.
