Position Overview The The Senior Financial Analyst or Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) Manager position will support particular executives and their respective lines of business. Responsibilities will include quarterly and annual forecast updates, monthly reporting to budget owners and stakeholders. This position will provide leadership with regular updates on project planning as well as detailed ROI analysis on specific initiatives aimed at growing top-line revenue for Adaptive. Strong cross functional collaboration skills, and the ability to influence across the organization will be required. The ideal candidate will be a proven individual contributor with a track record of successful relationship management within the business’ they support. Additionally, strong analytical skills, attention to detail and a commitment to solving problems will make this candidate successful in their role. Additional duties include, but are not limited to, capex planning, preparation of Board materials and headcount management. Responsibilities - Senior Financial Analyst • Work with functional business partners to prepare and update rolling monthly forecasts for departmental expenses utilizing the Company’s planning tools • Perform monthly departmental budget vs. actual analysis and provide actionable insights to management • Coordinate with the PMO to develop tools and methodologies to track project resource allocations and costs • Collaborate with R&D clinical product groups to track relevant metrics and achievement milestones • Collaborate with stakeholders and prepare ad-hoc or periodic reports and, or analysis as needed • Develop scenario and sensitivity analyses for long-range forecasting • Refine reporting packages and presentation materials for both internal and external stakeholders, including quarterly Board of Directors’ packages • Define key financial and reporting metrics and assist in Tableau report creation with the business analytics team • All other duties as assigned Responsibilities - FP&A Manager • Responsible for all aspects of the planning cycles for client teams, with an emphasis on timely and accurate forecasts • Provide recommendations to executives based on data-driven analysis, conducting high-profile analysis, and delivering data narratives across business groups. • Interacts with executives to provide guidance and influence strategic decisions. • Support construction of executive level presentations and present complex analytical findings in clear, concise, and decision-impacting manner • Build models to help with complex revenue and capex planning, that meet the needs of the business segment • Develop, own, and maintain monthly and quarterly reporting to executives and other senior leadership. • Create standardized monthly reports measuring the health of the business segment • Develop, track, analyze and report on Key Performance Indicators and metrics • Develop and standardize board level reports and presentations • Act as liaison between the business and accounting shared services group • All other duties as assigned Requirements - Senior Financial Analyst • BA/BS degree in accounting, finance, or other related field. • 5+ years relevant experience Requirements - FP&A Manager • BA/BS degree in accounting, finance, or other related field. • 7+ years relevant experience Preferred • Demonstrated success partnering with executive leaders and stakeholders, preferably within an R&D function in life sciences or a related industry • Proven track record of providing visibility into complex financial and operating trends and actionable analyses/insights to drive operational improvements • Integration experience between disparate sets of data and systems across the organization • Financial modeling and analysis techniques in high growth organizations, including expert level MS Excel skillsExperience in financial and managerial accounting concepts including GAAP, revenue recognition, and cash and accrual methodologies • Experience and familiarity with cash flow concepts such as DCF, IRR and NPV • Proven self-starter with a bias for action and roll-up sleeves attitude • Strong written and spoken communication with functional leaders and executives • Ability to work independently and balance multiple projects and processes simultaneously • Collaborative and customer-service work style • Experience in fast-paced, rapidly growing environments • Exceptional attention to detail and results-orientation Additional Preferred - FP&A Manager • Experience partnering cross-functionally, with proven record in relationship building • Solid understanding of a P&L, revenue and opex forecasting, capex, depreciation, etc. • Self-starter with ability to operate independently, identify and implement process improvements, establish, and adjust priorities to achieve objectives and operate with speed and agility • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with ability to confidently support multiple VPs within function and to influence others that do not report directly Working Conditions • Willingness to work extended hours during peak periods. #LI-Remote Compensation Senior Financial Analyst - Salary Range: $89,100 - $133,700 FP&A Manager - Salary Range: $113,500 - $170,300 Possible “other compensation” elements to include: • equity grant • bonus eligible Apply tot his job Apply To this Job
