Undergraduate Program Coordinator - Join Our Team at Stony Brook University!
Job Overview:
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Undergraduate Program Coordinator to join our team at the College of Engineering and Applied Sciences (CEAS) at Stony Brook University. As a key member of our team, you will provide comprehensive academic advising to undergraduate students, coordinate program activities, and support the success of our students from matriculation to graduation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide continuous and comprehensive academic advising to undergraduate CEAS students, focusing on one of the Departments within the CEAS
 - Coordinate all aspects of undergraduate programs, including academic administrative matters, registration, and advising
 - Evaluate applications for declaration of majors, minors, and specializations within the assigned CEAS Department
 - Oversee department registration procedures, process student requests, and resolve course conflicts
 - Develop and maintain student degree checklists, monitor student degree progress, and process graduation clearances
 - Provide high-quality, proactive, and timely advising to students, interpreting policies and procedures, and advising on academic deadlines, petitioning for academic exceptions, and other academic matters
 - Coordinate Undergrad Program Committee meetings, prepare agendas, and keep meeting minutes
 - Participate in various University programs and services, including campus events, special events, and Admissions open houses/receptions
 
Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree (or foreign equivalent or higher)
 - Two (2) years of full-time experience in academic advising, counseling, or student services at the college or university level
 - Highly proficient professional experience in word processing, spreadsheet management, electronic messaging, and internet applications
 - Preferred: Master's Degree (foreign equivalent or higher) in higher education, student affairs, social work, counseling, or related field
