Job Overview:
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Research Technician III to join the USU Disease Ecology laboratory at Utah State University. As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in executing a statewide study investigating disease impacts on Utah's mule deer. This is an excellent opportunity to work on a high-impact project, collaborate with renowned scientists, and contribute to the advancement of wildlife conservation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with animal captures, data management, and coordination of a large camera trapping study
- Coordinate field sampling kit construction and oversee undergraduate researchers
- Collaborate with state and federal scientists on sampling protocols and plan national team meetings
- Lead a winter field effort for camera trapping in southern Utah and produce annual reports for funding agencies
- Contribute to data analyses and manuscript preparation as appropriate

Requirements:
