Job Summary: As a General Education Adjunct Faculty member, you will be responsible for providing a high-quality learning experience for our students in the classroom, online, and/or in the lab. Your expertise in Anatomy & Physiology will enable you to create engaging lesson plans, evaluate student progress, and provide individualized support to ensure student success. You will also participate in academic committees, conferences, and training sessions to stay up-to-date with industry developments and best practices.
Key Responsibilities:
- Teach Anatomy & Physiology (BIO 201) courses in a classroom, online, and/or lab setting
- Develop and implement engaging lesson plans, using a variety of teaching methods and audiovisual aids
- Evaluate student progress, provide feedback, and maintain accurate records
- Provide individualized support and advisement to students, including tutoring and mentoring
- Participate in academic committees, conferences, and training sessions to stay current with industry developments
- Collaborate with colleagues to achieve student performance goals and promote a positive educational climate
Requirements:
- Masters' degree or higher in a related field from an accredited program recognized by the U.S. Secretary of Education or the Council for Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA)
- A minimum of 15 credit hours or equivalent in the assigned subject area
- At least three years of work experience as an educator preferred
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, in English
