Remote Prior Authorization Coordinator - Join Our Team!
Job Overview:
We're seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Prior Authorization Coordinator to join our team at Medical Review Institute of America (MRIoA). In this fully remote role, you'll play a vital part in processing prior authorization requests with accuracy, timeliness, and exceptional customer service.
Key Responsibilities:
- Process and finalize prior authorization requests within client-specified turnaround times and performance guarantees
- Analyze and obtain necessary information to make informed prior authorization processing determinations
- Interact with internal and external customers to provide outstanding service and quality
- Enter prior authorizations into our system, prioritize requests, and document related information
- Utilize drug references, verify medication indications, and check formulary alternatives
- Collaborate with clinical pharmacists to ensure adherence to administrative processing boundaries and timeframes
- Analyze, research, and resolve prior authorization processing issues, and identify operational improvements

Requirements:
- Minimum 1 year of prior authorization experience preferred, with moderate-to-high level medication and disease state knowledge
- Personal computer literacy and high competency in using Microsoft Word, Excel, Adobe, etc.
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and excellent critical thinking capabilities
- Exceptional customer service skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- High school diploma or equivalent, with an active Certified Pharmacy Technician (State or National License)
Work Environment:
This is a fully remote position, allowing you to work from the comfort of your own home. You'll need to have the ability to sit at a desk, utilize a computer, telephone, and other basic office equipment.
