About the Position

Diversion Publishing is looking for a detail-oriented and motivated Operations Assistant/Bookkeeper to join our team. In this role, you will play a crucial part in ensuring the accurate and timely processing of royalty statements, managing general bookkeeping tasks, and supporting day-to-day operational activities. Your primary responsibility will be to maintain the financial integrity of our publishing operations, with a focus on recording and processing author and agent royalty payments using QuickBooks Online.

You will maintain accurate records of royalty revenues and distributions, prepare financial reports related to royalty earnings and distributions, and manage accounts payable and receivable, including invoicing and payment processing. Additionally, you will track vendor invoicing, payments, and tax forms, and provide support to other departments, including production, design, marketing, and publicity, to ensure smooth operational workflows across the organization.

Responsibilities

  • Record and process author/agent royalty payments in QuickBooks Online
  • Maintain accurate records of royalty revenues and distributions
  • Prepare financial reports related to royalty earnings and distribution

Requirements

  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
  • Experience with QuickBooks or other accounting platforms is a plus
