Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality solutions to hospital partners, applying your expertise with precision and attention to detail
  • Categorize, code, summarize, interpret, and mine registry/case information from patient medical records
  • Perform data collection (abstracting) and reporting on eligible cancer cases, ensuring accuracy and adherence to regulatory requirements
  • Support our partners' CoC Accreditation process, maintaining a high level of quality and compliance
  • Engage in ongoing education and training, staying up-to-date on industry developments and best practices
  • Collaborate with colleagues to identify process improvements, streamline tasks, and contribute to team best practices

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • CTR (ODS-C) Certification required
  • At least 2+ years of experience abstracting with an ODS certification
  • Direct data abstraction experience in the Cancer Registry
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills, with attention to detail and accuracy
  • Technical proficiency, with experience working with multiple patient medical record systems (EMRs) and clinical databases
  • Intermediate proficiency with MS Office (Microsoft Excel)
