Remote Business Analyst - OTC Trading Specialist

We are seeking an experienced Business Analyst to join our team as a liaison between the business community and IT organization, providing solutions to meet user needs in a 100% remote work environment. As a Business Analyst with a focus on OTC trading, you will utilize your specialized knowledge and skills to analyze and document existing workflows, validate new product migrations, and provide business analysis support for moderately complex trading workflows.

In this technical and functional role, you will work directly with vendor product development teams to evaluate and recommend solutions, and collaborate with internal customers and external vendors to identify, research, and resolve problems. Your expertise in the Financial Services domain, particularly in Order Management Systems, equity order and trade life cycles, and regulatory aspects of trading, will be essential in driving success in this position.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Consult with users to identify, analyze, refine, and document business requirements
  • Develop and document testing strategies for trading workflows, create test scenarios, and coordinate test transmissions
  • Provide training and lead the work of others as required
  • Review operational procedures, map current business processes, and recommend improvements
  • Serve as a liaison between end users and software development teams, functioning as a subject matter expert in translating requirements to software development teams
  • Maintain currency in analyst skills and stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices

Requirements:

  • Financial Services domain experience, with a focus on OTC trading, equity trading workflows, and middle office trading operations
  • Knowledge of concepts, practices, and procedures related to risk management, issue tracking, change management, and requirements gathering
  • Familiarity with FINRA regulatory reporting and investment concepts, practices, and procedures used in capital markets business
  • Proficiency in business analysis tools, including Microsoft Office suite, Software Engineering Methodology (SEM) process, and basic database query language usage
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, with the ability to ask pointed questions, analyze business functions, and derive requirements to satisfy client requests
