Clinical Quality LPN - HEDIS Specialist (Remote Opportunity)

As a Clinical Quality LPN - HEDIS Specialist, you will play a critical role in ensuring the quality and completeness of clinical documentation, performing quality medical record reviews, and assisting in the improvement of the clinical documentation process.

Your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Reviewing and abstracting medical record data into appropriate applications
  • Performing primary source verification and analyzing chart data for possible data integrity and/or data deficits
  • Providing education and feedback to abstractors and navigating multiple documentation systems
  • Maintaining accurate records of review activities and ensuring all data submitted to the health plan meets HEDIS/Star technical specifications
  • Supporting chart chase processes and maintaining education/knowledge base of HEDIS/STAR standards and guidelines

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A current Licensed Professional/Vocational Nurse license
  • 2+ years of HEDIS/STAR experience or participation with similar regulatory reporting
  • 3+ years of experience with data analysis/quality chart reviews and excellent communication practices
  • Experience using Microsoft Office applications, including databases, word-processing, and Excel spreadsheets

Preferred qualifications include an Associate degree, Undergraduate degree or equivalent experience, Certified Professional Coder, and training experience. You should also be flexible in a continuously changing environment and able to adhere to UnitedHealth Group's Telecommuter Policy.

The hourly range for this role is $19.86 to $38.85 per hour based on full-time employment.
