Remote HEDIS Quality Auditor Opportunity in Newark, NJ - Contract Position

Walker Healthforce is seeking an experienced HEDIS Quality Auditor to support a leading healthcare client based in New Jersey. This 6-month contract opportunity offers a unique chance to utilize your skills and expertise in a remote setting. As a HEDIS Quality Auditor, you will play a critical role in ensuring the quality of healthcare services and promoting excellence in patient care.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct on-site reviews at participating provider offices to assess environment, quality of physician's medical records, and compliance with documentation standards
  • Prepare and present findings to physicians, providing education and discussing opportunities for improvement
  • Provide data support services to facilitate quality improvement and health management initiatives
  • Assist the Quality Management department with special projects and focused clinical studies
  • Develop and implement corrective action plans to address audit findings
  • Collaborate with internal teams to train staff, providers, and vendors on programs and audit standards

Requirements:

  • 3-5 years of related business experience in the healthcare industry
  • Practical Nurse License or active New Jersey Registered Nurse License
  • Valid Motor Vehicle driver's license and access to an automobile
  • Knowledge of managed care principles, medical terminology, and PC software
  • Excellent verbal and written communication, organizational, and analytical skills
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of URAC accreditation standards and HEDIS principles
  • Experience in health management or patient education
