As a Veterinary Claims Coordinator, you will play a critical role in reviewing medical records and invoices to evaluate coverage and settle pet health insurance claims. Key Responsibilities:
- Accurately review medical records and invoices to evaluate coverage and settle pet health insurance claims
- Communicate with insured parties, veterinarians, and pet adoption agencies to determine claim details and request necessary documentation
- Utilize workflow queues to perform job functions, including claim entry, pre-adjudication, and claim closeouts
- Provide exceptional customer service and ensure timely resolution of claims
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Three years of veterinary medical experience or equivalent preferred
- Strong understanding of veterinary medical terminology
- Proven history of adherence to corporate policies and procedures
- Excellent tracking, follow-up, and relationship-building skills
Preferred Qualifications:
- Veterinary Technician license
- Ability to operate in a fast-paced, multi-tasking environment with deadlines
- Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
- Articulate, professional, and customer-focused with attention to detail
- Strong computer background using MS Word, Outlook, Excel, and Internet
