Seasonal Benefit Customer Service Representative - Remote Opportunity
Join our team as a Seasonal Benefit Customer Service Representative and embark on a rewarding journey to deliver exceptional support to our client plan participants. As a key member of our customer service team, you will have the opportunity to make a meaningful impact by guiding participants through the enrollment process and assisting with updates to their health care and/or pension plans.
In this role, you will enjoy the freedom to provide personalized support to each participant, taking the time necessary to address their unique needs and concerns. Your day will be filled with engaging phone conversations, and as you gain experience, you will have the opportunity to assist with chat and message center inquiries. Our remote work environment allows you to work from the comfort of your own home, following an initial training and onboarding period.
We offer a competitive starting pay of $17.00/hr, with the potential for an increase after one month. During our busy season, you can expect to work a 40-hour week, with occasional overtime requests. Outside of peak season, your hours may vary between 32-40 hours per week, depending on client needs. While this is a seasonal role, high-performing colleagues may be invited to join our team on a full-time basis or assist with other clients, providing a potential pathway to long-term career growth.
To succeed in this position, you will need to possess:
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex information in a clear and concise manner
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to quickly assess participant concerns and develop effective solutions
- Ability to work in a structured environment, adhering to schedules, protocols, and standards of excellence
- High attention to detail, multi-tasking capabilities, and strong organizational skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, with the ability to navigate multiple computer windows while on phone or instant messaging calls
- Self-motivation and autonomy to work effectively in a virtual environment, including online training and interactions with managers and supervisors via chat
- Ability to understand and follow oral and written instructions, with a typing speed of at least 30 words per minute
- Previous experience in a customer service-related field, with a high school degree required (Associate or Bachelor's degree a plus)
- Knowledge of health and welfare and/or defined benefit pension plans, as well as experience working in a call center environment, are desirable but not required
- Spanish language skills are also a plus
