We are seeking exceptional Behavior Technicians to join our team at Life Skills Autism Academy, a leading provider of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) therapy. As a Center-Based Behavior Technician, you will play a vital role in helping children with autism develop critical skills and reach their full potential.
Job Responsibilities:
- Provide direct client care in 1:1 and group settings, utilizing a combination of intensive teaching and natural environment training
- Follow prescribed behavioral skill acquisition and behavior reduction protocols, as outlined in client individualized treatment plans
- Collect, record, and summarize data on observable client behavior, ensuring accurate and timely documentation
- Assist with parent and caregiver training, providing support and guidance to ensure consistent implementation of treatment plans
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work and therapy environment, adhering to established safety protocols and procedures
Required Qualifications, Skills, and Knowledge:
- Current certification as a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) or willingness to complete a 40-hour training course and sit for the RBT competency exam within 45 days of employment
- High School Diploma or GED, with a minimum age requirement of 18 years
- Reliable transportation, with proof of driver's license and valid car insurance (if applicable)
- Ability to physically perform the job, including lifting up to 50lbs and standing for long periods
- Strong attention to detail, with ability to follow instructions and maintain emotional control in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a strong understanding of technology and digital applications
