Join our dynamic team at The Women's Imaging Center, a Division of Together Women's Health, as a Medical Records Transcriptionist and Data Entry Specialist! We're seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized individual to work on-site with our radiologists, transcribing medical reports, and maintaining accurate patient records.

Job Summary:

As a crucial member of our medical transcription department, you will be responsible for transcribing radiology reports and other medical documents from audio recordings, updating patient charts, and entering reports into our EHR system. Your attention to detail and strong communication skills will ensure the precision and clarity of medical records, supporting effective patient care and treatment planning.

Responsibilities:

  • Transcribe radiology reports from dictated recordings and canned reports, including mammograms, ultrasounds, MRI, and other imaging modalities.
  • Update patient charts with breast density, follow-up dates, surgical follow-ups, and physical charts.
  • Review and edit drafts for clarity, accuracy, and grammar, adhering to departmental and industry standards.
  • Collaborate with radiologists and healthcare professionals to clarify dictation and ensure completeness of reports.
  • Maintain confidentiality and comply with all legal and ethical standards related to patient information and medical records.
  • Prioritize and manage workload effectively to meet transcription deadlines and turnaround times.
  • Stay updated with medical terminology, MQSA, and advancements in radiology to enhance transcription accuracy and efficiency.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as a medical transcriptionist, specifically in radiology, with a strong understanding of radiology terminology and procedures.
  • Proficiency in transcribing medical dictation using transcription software and word processing tools.
  • Excellent typing skills and attention to detail with a high level of accuracy in transcribing complex medical terminology.
  • Knowledge of medical ethics, confidentiality standards, and regulatory requirements related to healthcare documentation.
  • Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with radiologists and healthcare professionals.
  • Ability to work independently and manage time efficiently.
  • Certification or diploma in medical transcription or a related field is preferred.
  • Familiarity with EHR systems is necessary.
