The University of Kansas Law School is seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic Student Hourly - Fall Academic Resources Tutor to provide academic support to international students (LLM students) in a remote setting. As a tutor, you will play a vital role in helping LLM students navigate law school and succeed in their coursework. About the Role:
- Prepare and conduct tutoring sessions with LLM students in specific law school courses (Lawyering Skills I, Contracts, and Torts)
- Provide study skills training, mentoring, and support to help LLM students achieve academic success
- Collaborate with Professor Betsy Six and the Law School team to ensure seamless delivery of academic resources
Requirements:
- Currently enrolled as a KU Law student in good academic standing (second or third year)
- Concurrently enrolled in the course for which you provide tutoring
- Enrolled in no fewer than 6 credit hours during the semester term of the appointment
- Strong academic record in law school, particularly in the course you're tutoring
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience living in another country or working with international students
- An interest in helping others succeed in law school
