Nursing Education and Simulation Specialist
Job Summary:
Chamberlain University is seeking a highly skilled and passionate Nursing Education and Simulation Specialist to join our team in San Antonio, TX. As a Nursing Education and Simulation Specialist, you will play a vital role in shaping the next generation of nursing students by providing academic support, remediation, and simulation experiences that foster student success. Responsibilities:
- Provide academic support, remediation, and evaluation in didactic and clinical learning concepts, including patient care simulations.
- Assess student learning styles, identify strengths, and develop personalized remediation plans to support academic success.
- Collaborate with faculty and staff to ensure seamless integration of simulation experiences into the curriculum.
- Prepare and maintain simulation labs and equipment to replicate real-world healthcare settings.
- Develop and implement clinically-based scenarios for simulation experiences, including high-fidelity patient simulators.
- Provide individual oversight to students during practice and remediation of technical nursing skills.
- Participate in planning and scheduling learning spaces for students and faculty.
- Contribute to national academic and clinical learning conferences.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree in Nursing required; Master's Degree in Education or Nursing preferred.
- 1 year of experience in an academic environment supporting classroom instruction or specialized tutoring support.
- Unencumbered RN license and BLS CPR certification required; ACLS and/or PALS preferred.
- Excellent communication skills with ability to communicate via telephone, computer, and in person.
