Job Title: Undergraduate Recruiter (Temporary) - Join Our Team at the University of Washington!
Launch Your Career in Higher Education as an Undergraduate Recruiter at the prestigious University of Washington's Paul G. Allen School of Computer Science & Engineering. As a key member of our Diversity & Access team, you will play a vital role in attracting and educating the next generation of outstanding computer scientists and engineers. This temporary 9-month position offers a unique opportunity to make a meaningful impact, work with a diverse population, and enjoy a competitive salary range of $5,463 - $5,681 per month, along with generous benefits and work-life programs.
As an Undergraduate Recruiter, you will travel throughout Washington State to recruit incoming direct-to-major and transfer students, counsel prospective students and their families, and co-plan events to promote the Allen School's undergraduate programs. You will also have the opportunity to work with a talented team of professionals who are passionate about diversity, equity, and inclusion, and who are committed to creating a welcoming community for students from all backgrounds.
Responsibilities:
- Travel to high schools, community colleges, and community events to represent the Allen School and recruit prospective students
- Counsel prospective students and their families about opportunities available at the University of Washington and the Allen School
- Co-plan events, such as information sessions and college fairs, to promote the Allen School's undergraduate programs
- Collaborate with the Admissions team to review transfer applications and provide recommendations
- Develop and maintain relationships with high school counselors, community college advisors, and other stakeholders to promote the Allen School's programs
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Education, Counseling, STEM, or a related field
- 2-3 years of college admissions and/or outreach experience, or equivalent
- Ability to travel throughout Washington State and work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work with diverse populations
- Demonstrated commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion, and a passion for creating a welcoming community for students from all backgrounds
