We are seeking an experienced and skilled Remote Physician Education & Audit Lead to join our team at R1 RCM. As a leader in the healthcare industry, we are committed to delivering innovative solutions that simplify the healthcare experience for providers and patients alike. In this role, you will have the opportunity to make a meaningful impact by planning, organizing, directing, and controlling all coding audit activities and providing education to medical providers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Audit, educate, and monitor providers for E/M levels, procedures, and diagnosis coding to ensure compliance with CPT/ICD-10 and HCPCS guidelines
  • Maintain accurate records of provider audits and make recommendations for changes in policies and procedures, guidelines, and training programs
  • Develop and conduct provider training to ensure a positive learning experience and optimal coding and documentation results
  • Collaborate with client leadership to address continued negative coding and documentation results and implement corrective actions
  • Apply Auditor production standards, QA requirements, and compliance with auditing philosophies to ensure guidelines are met

Requirements:

  • Minimum of four years of experience in production coding within professional services, including emergency room, family medicine, and complex specialties
  • AAPC or AHIMA coding credential (CPC, CCS-P, RHIA, or RHIT)
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to deliver and teach complex coding concepts to small and large groups
  • Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks
