About the Role:
As a Human Resources Consultant, you'll provide expert support to clients on all HR matters, including compensation, benefits, payroll administration, policies, onboarding, off-boarding, recruiting, performance management, and employee relations. You'll ensure compliance with local, state, and federal laws and serve as a trusted HR contact for client stakeholders, internal HR teams, and employees.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Providing strategic and practical plans to address human resources matters
- Assessing clients' organizations, processes, and systems to recommend actions for compliance and automation
- Developing and implementing policies, including state variations
- Facilitating training content and webinars
- Managing critical relationships with client representatives, including employees, management, and vendors
Requirements:
To succeed in this role, you'll need:
- A Bachelor's degree in Business, Human Resources, or a related field
- At least 8 years of professional HR experience, with a focus on employment-related compliance knowledge
- In-depth knowledge of HR principles, functions, methods, and best practices
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
- Advanced working knowledge of state and federal regulations, including COBRA, ERISA, FMLA, and ADA
- Certifications related to HR, Payroll, or Benefits (PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, FPC, CPP, CEBS) are preferred
