About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced Senior Credit Products Specialist to join our Equipment Finance Buy Desk team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for analyzing credit profiles and structures of proposed opportunities, providing accurate risk ratings, and managing a portfolio of mainly Large Corporate clients. - Work in support of coverage bankers to develop target sets of companies within markets to enhance proper client selectivity
- Add value directly to clients and coverage by articulating Regions' underwriting methods, processes, and risk appetite for specific credit products
- Maintain market knowledge of loan pricing and structural trends to match client needs with Regions' credit product solutions
- Call jointly on clients with coverage bankers to understand clients' needs and specific risks to client business
- Lead the credit process on identified credit product opportunities, structuring, underwriting, closing, and managing new and existing credit products for clients
- Serve as the primary contact with Credit Risk and oversee ongoing monitoring of existing portfolios
- Serve as a mentor/coach to team members, specifically Credit Products Associates assigned to managed clients
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field
- Five (5) years of underwriting and portfolio management experience
- Completion of a major corporate credit training program (or equivalent corporate banking/corporate finance experience)
- Experience in relationship management as a coverage banker or as a client-facing member of the relationship team
- Legal document and financial analysis experience
- Understanding of loan and lease structuring needs, loan and lease documentation requirements, and market knowledge
