- Lead Safety Initiatives: Act as Site Safety and Health Officer (SSHO), ensuring safety protocols and regulations are followed on-site.
- Develop & Implement Safety Programs: Create, review, and update safety and health plans for each project.
- Conduct Risk Assessments: Perform safety inspections, risk assessments, and hazard analyses to mitigate risks.
- Safety Training: Provide safety orientation, training, and updates to employees and subcontractors.
- Compliance Management: Oversee compliance with OSHA, EM 385-1-1, and other applicable safety regulations.
- Incident Response & Reporting: Investigate incidents, implement corrective actions, and create reports.
Requirements:
- Proven experience in a Health and Safety Manager or SSHO role, preferably in construction, demolition, or environmental remediation.
- In-depth knowledge of OSHA regulations, EM 385-1-1, and other safety standards.
- Strong leadership and communication skills.
- Detail-oriented mindset with the ability to identify and resolve safety risks.
- Certification as a Site Safety and Health Officer (SSHO), CHST, CSP, or equivalent safety credential is a plus.
