We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Chemist - Data Validator to join our team at Montrose, a global environmental services provider. As a key member of our team, you will play a critical role in environmental analytical data validation, data management, and environmental laboratory coordination. About the Role:

The Chemist - Data Validator will be responsible for reviewing analytical data generated by environmental laboratories, preparing data quality and usability assessment reports, and communicating with laboratory personnel to ensure proper processing of samples. You will also assist with the preparation of Quality Assurance Project Plans (QAPPs) and act as a liaison between field personnel and laboratories. This is a unique opportunity to work with a talented team of professionals who are dedicated to delivering high-quality environmental services to our clients.

Responsibilities:

  • Review analytical data generated by environmental laboratories in an organized and efficient manner
  • Prepare data quality and data usability assessment reports
  • Communicate with laboratory personnel to ensure proper processing of samples
  • Assist with the preparation of Quality Assurance Project Plans (QAPPs)
  • Act as a liaison between field personnel and laboratories
  • Maintain confidentiality and exercise safe work practices
  • Participate in the company's continuous improvement programs and provide support to team efforts

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Chemistry or an allied science from an accredited college or university
  • 5+ years of environmental analytical data validation experience or environmental analytical laboratory experience
  • Able to review environmental laboratory data for completeness, correctness, and compliance
  • Strong understanding of US EPA methods for the preparation and analysis of environmental samples
  • Possess a good understanding of analytical chemistry principles and be able to apply to data quality assurance reviews
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills
  • Computer literate and proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
