Job Description:

As an Availability Manager, you will report to the Operations Lead and supervise the 24x7 centralized operations staff in activities associated with the identification, prioritization, and resolution of operational issues. Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Implementing moderately complex core business processes and assisting in process improvement initiatives to enhance customer service
  • Leading Incident Response during critical outages and ensuring proper notification to management and customer POCs
  • Evaluating employees to enhance their performance, development, and work product, and addressing performance issues
  • Preparing daily reports on incidents, changes, and problem tickets, as well as SLA status
  • Preparing summary reports on major incidents occurring on shift
  • Preparing Operations Center scheduling

Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Three years of experience in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity
  • A Bachelor's degree in engineering from an accredited college or university (or four years of additional network engineering experience)
  • Strong time management, communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills
  • Strong troubleshooting and technical skills in networking and desktop support
  • Experience with enterprise management monitoring tools (such as HP Openview, Solarwinds, or Splunk) and ITSM tools (such as Remedy, Service Now, Service Manager, or equivalent)
  • TS/SCI with polygraph clearance required
