Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver world-class customer service via phone, email, and chat, exceeding customer expectations and resolving inquiries in a timely and professional manner.
- Assist card members with account inquiries, transaction disputes, billing issues, and other service-related matters, providing accurate and helpful information.
- Educate customers on the benefits of American Express products and services, helping them maximize their membership benefits and enhance their overall experience.
- Proactively identify and resolve customer concerns, ensuring a seamless and positive experience, and escalating unresolved matters to the appropriate channels as needed.
- Utilize various software applications and tools to access customer account information, process transactions, and update records accurately, maintaining the highest level of data integrity and security.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address complex customer issues, sharing knowledge and best practices to drive continuous improvement.
- Stay informed about American Express products, policies, and procedures, providing accurate and up-to-date information to customers, and maintaining a high level of product knowledge.
Qualifications:
- Previous customer service experience in a call center or virtual environment preferred, with a proven track record of delivering exceptional customer experiences.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with a professional and friendly demeanor, and the ability to adapt to different communication styles and customer needs.
- Strong problem-solving abilities, with the ability to navigate through challenging situations with empathy and patience, and a customer-centric approach.
- Proficiency in using computers and familiarity with basic software applications, with the ability to learn and adapt to new technologies and systems.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision, and adapt to changing priorities and deadlines, with a high level of self-motivation and discipline.
- Availability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, as needed, with a willingness to be flexible and accommodating to meet business needs.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; higher education or relevant certifications a plus, with a commitment to ongoing learning and professional development.
