We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Business Intelligence Engineering Manager to join our team at Amazon. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for driving business value through the use of statistical techniques to collect, assess, and interpret complex data. Job Summary:

In this full-time, remote position, you will work closely with our Sr Director, Business Insight to design and implement data collection tools, develop and apply statistical methods to solve business problems, and provide insights to inform business strategy. You will also be responsible for training our technical team on data organization and interpretation, creating surveys and polls to gather vital information, and assisting in shaping business strategy.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement data collection tools to gather and analyze complex data
  • Develop and apply statistical methods to solve business problems and identify trends and relationships in data
  • Research and analyze data to inform business decisions and drive business value
  • Train technical team on data organization and interpretation
  • Create surveys and polls to gather vital information and apply testing procedures to identify and define optimal categories
  • Assist in shaping business strategy and provide insights to inform decision-making

Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • 7+ years of business intelligence and analysis experience
  • 5+ years of experience managing a business intelligence or analysis team, including employee development and performance management
  • Experience with SQL, ETL, and data visualization tools such as Tableau, Quicksight, or similar
  • Experience with R, Python, Weka, SAS, Matlab, or other statistical/AI programming languages

Preferred Qualifications:

While not required, the following qualifications are preferred:

  • 4+ years of experience working with large data warehousing environments
  • 10+ years of experience with data warehouse technical architecture, data modeling, system components, ETL/ELT, and reporting/analytics tools and environments
