Job Summary
We are looking for talented educators to deliver engaging academic and test-prep instruction to high school and middle school students in the Chicagoland area. As an Academic Tutor, you will be responsible for creating a supportive and inclusive learning environment that promotes student success and academic achievement.
Compensation and Benefits
- Competitive pay starting at $30/hr for 1-on-1 tutoring and $47/hr for classroom teaching
 - Potential for pay increases based on performance
 - $500 stipend for completion of comprehensive tutor training
 - Flexible scheduling to accommodate student needs and tutor availability

 - Travel compensation for school programs requiring a commute of at least 30 minutes and 15 miles

Requirements and Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Strong academic expertise in English, math, reading, and science
 - Proficiency in teaching all subjects on the ACT
 - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
 - Effective classroom management skills
 - Proficient in Microsoft Outlook
 - Ability to build supportive relationships with students in a professional manner
 - Bachelor's degree in any subject
 - Demonstrated commitment to diversity, inclusion, and educational equity
 - Passion for supporting student success
 - Availability of at least 10 hours per week
 - Access to a computer with webcam, mic, and reliable internet connection (minimum 100 Mbps download and upload speed) for virtual instruction
