Location: We're remote-first, hiring between the PST-EST time zones in Canada (excluding Quebec).

A Day in the Life of a Cloud Data Solutions Engineer:

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Product, Customer Success, and Professional Services, to understand customer needs and develop solution specifications.
  • Present technical solutions to non-technical stakeholders, ensuring clear communication and effective problem-solving.
  • Design and build data solutions from provided specifications, leveraging your expertise in data integration, analysis, and pipeline development.
  • Conduct quality assurance on custom datasets, ensuring accuracy and reliability.
  • Partner with engineering and data teams to resolve questions, troubleshoot anomalies, and optimize data delivery pipelines.
  • Develop queries, reports, and internal dashboards to illustrate the value of Jungle Scout's data for sales enablement.
  • Support customer onboarding processes, creating guides, FAQs, and other materials to accelerate customer enablement.
  • Stay connected with the team through scrum meetings, Slack updates, and collaborative workflows.

Who You Are:

  • Customer-Facing Data Expert: 3+ years of experience working directly with customers to implement or integrate data solutions.
  • Experienced Data Integrator: Extensive hands-on experience with data integration, analysis, and building pipelines.
  • Creative Problem Solver: Proven ability to design practical solutions for complex challenges.
  • Strong Communicator: Effective communication skills, with the ability to explain data concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Skilled in SQL and Python: Proficient in writing clean, efficient SQL and using Python for data automation and analysis.
  • Tech-Savvy: Comfortable working with modern data stacks, including data lakes, cloud warehouses, BI tools, and integration platforms.
  • Reliable Multi-Tasker: Ability to manage multiple projects and timelines with strong attention to detail.
  • Customer-First Thinker: Focus on delivering value and insights to customers through your work.
  • Quality-Oriented Contributor: High standards for your work, with a focus on ownership and impact.
  • Continuous Improver: Embracing feedback, raising standards, and driving better ways of working.

Must-Have Technical Skills:

  • Expertise in SQL for data analysis
  • Experience with Python for data analysis and automation
  • Experience building and troubleshooting ETL and data pipelines
  • Experience working with Data Lakes (S3/Glue preferred)
  • Experience with modern data warehouses like Snowflake, Redshift, BigQuery
  • Experience with reporting infrastructure (Tableau, PowerBI, Looker, etc.)
  • Experience with common data integration patterns and systems (FTP, S3, Snowflake, GCP Filestore, Azure Blog Storage)
  • Experience with a BI Tool (Tableau, Looker, PowerBI, etc.)

Bonus Points:

  • Experience in Ecommerce
