The Market Research Specialist will be responsible for building and maintaining a detailed database of cities we are targeting. This role goes beyond simply gathering data - it requires someone who can retain and apply information across multiple projects, building a working knowledge of permitting and right-of-way processes city by city.
Responsibilities:
• Provide regular updates to the Permit Manager on the progress of city research.
• Maintain and update the city research database with accuracy and consistency.
• Conduct online research to gather permitting, right-of-way, and regulatory requirements.
• Communicate with Right-of-Way city contacts to verify information.
• Organize findings into clear permit cards, trackers, and reports.
• Prepare background materials for introductory city meetings.
• Contribute a positive mindset and collaborative team spirit.
Qualifications:
• Proficiency with Excel and data management tools.
• Proven research and database management experience.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Positive Outlook that contributes in a team atmosphere.
• Analytical mindset with the ability to identify gaps or inconsistencies.
• Proactive, self-sufficient, and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Strong ability to retain information and apply it consistently across projects.
• Highly organized and detail-oriented.
• Comfortable with outreach and professional conversations with municipalities.
