We’re looking for a people-focused Director of Talent Acquisition who is both visionary and a deft executor, ready to greet a large-scale hiring operation with eagerness. The Director of Talent Acquisition will oversee recruitment and hiring execution - from building the pipeline to application to interview to offer - ensuring impeccable service to our candidates and hiring managers. Essential responsibilities include overseeing recruitment workstreams, evaluating and executing hiring processes for all of our applicant streams, supporting recruiting managers in execution, and leading headquarters and executive-level searches. • You’ll create and execute the plan to find great people (in large numbers) to join the Galileo team and will be accountable for the application, conversion, and cost-per-hire targets. This work includes optimizing online recruitment strategies and channels, vendor and agency management, and helping build out our university/campus recruiting and partnerships strategies. • You’ll oversee our Summer Camp Staff, Camp Director, and Headquarters hiring. You’ll be responsible for creating plans and processes that help us vet and hire qualified candidates across the country for year-round full-time and seasonal roles. You’ll also be the holder of the candidate experience. • You and your team will screen and hire candidates to fill 2,200+ summer staff, 30-60 Camp Directors, and several HQ positions across the Bay Area, Southern California, Chicago, and Seattle annually. • You’ll actively analyze data from our Applicant Tracking System (ATS) to help your team and other cross-functional teams prioritize and take actions aligned to recruiting and hiring insights. • You’ll be accountable for all recruitment, selection, and hiring targets we aim to hit. • You’ll obsess over data and use it to understand what’s working and not working, measure progress toward goals, and adjust course as needed. You’ll regularly communicate metrics headlines and hiring progress to hiring team members and the greater company. • You’ll lead, support, collaborate and develop. You will lead and manage a team of 4-5, leveraging high expectations and thoughtful support to push your team to greatness. You will also collaborate a lot— primarily with your peers who lead marketing and camp operations as well as hiring managers and external partners. • You’ll contribute to the short and long-term vision of the People Operations team with a “yes, and” attitude. You will be part of the leadership team on the People Operations team and help refine and expand the vision for how the team will maximize opportunities and execute with excellence. You will report to the SVP, People. What are we looking for? • 4+ years in talent acquisition or recruiting operations, especially with program management and using multiple sourcing techniques and hiring practices to identify diverse candidates at scale. • Sourcing experience with educators, college students, and/or seasonal roles at volume is a plus. • 3+ years of people-oriented management experience and leadership: people want to work with you. • Experience managing vendors and Talent Acquisition campaigns, including cost negotiation. • Demonstrated experience building and scaling systems, with a lens toward creative problem-solving. • A desire to work for a mission-driven organization. • The ability to collaborate closely with others and operate as both a manager and individual contributor. • Knowledge of systems/channels such as iCIMS, Indeed, Appcast, LinkedIn, and Handshake is a plus. • Readiness to stick around; we find that our team and team members benefit from a 2-year minimum commitment.
