Role Description
The Project Manager is ultimately responsible for ensuring that project members understand what is expected of them and what they should expect from one another. This role involves leading project planning activities and directing the creation, approval, and ongoing change control of the project plan.
The Project Manager will lead cross-functional teams to deliver projects and be accountable for the safe delivery of projects that meet commercial commitments. Responsibilities include:
• Ensures safe work practices implemented throughout the project life cycle.
• The PM’s responsibility starts at PO acknowledgement to order shipment and ensures order flows through process to meet customer requirements.
• Facilitate the review and definition of the project scope, schedule, and budget.
• Keep internal and external stakeholders informed of project activities and deliverables.
• Coordinate all factory visits as needed.
• Facilitate project kickoff meetings with critical stakeholders.
• Accountable for executing contract terms and implementing change orders.
• Adhere to Xylem's Project Management Policy, processes, and procedures.
• Provide technical support to customers, end-users, and internal departments.
• Support the continuous improvement of project management processes and procedures.
• Provide steady leadership support in the face of uncertainty, change, and aggressive deadlines.
• Clarify, identify, and track requirements, decisions, and issues.

Qualifications
• B.S./B.A. in Engineering, Business, or technical required or equivalent combination of experience.
• Minimum 4 years of experience in project management, engineering, production planning, operations, supply chain, or customer service.
• Effective problem solving and presentation skills along with strong written and verbal communication required.
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to effectively interact with all levels of external and internal customers.
Requirements
• Experience with Six Sigma and utilizing data to make key decisions.
• Industry knowledge or experience in pumps/water movement, electronics, or other manufacturing industry in a highly configured environment.
• PMP Certification.
• Proficiency in project management tools and software (e.g., MS Project, Asana, Trello).
