The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills and strong familiarity with technology. In this virtual environment, our practice has become fully remote. Therefore, the ideal candidate will be intimately familiar with Zoom, Google Docs, Google Sheets and will be able to assist clients less familiar with technology to troubleshoot technical issues. We use MyCase to manage our cases, so familiarity with MyCase is a plus.
The ideal candidate will have extensive experience with Lexis Nexis Wills & Trusts Drafting software AND will have access to the software. Other drafting software may be acceptable except we are not fans of Wealth Counsel or Foretrust Drafting Software (perhaps we can be persuaded, however).
Some of the other skills we are seeking include:
• Strong client management and interpersonal skills
• Ability to interact with diverse communities & backgrounds
• Strong time management skills
• Excellent writing capabilities
• METICULOUS attention to detail (strength in this area is one of the key areas we consider when transitioning a contract hire to full time)
• Ability to interface with clients online (cameras on!)
• Strong follow-through
• Sales experience a PLUS
• Strong understanding of California Estate Law
• Strong understanding of California Probate Code
• Strong moral and ethical compass (and trustworthy, honest, honorable, principled, dependable, responsible. You get the idea)
• Self-starter; entrepreneurial energy; ambitious; hungry
