988 Crisis Line Specialist - Hybrid

About the position Responsibilities • Answer multiple crisis line calls and provide crisis counseling to clients. • Conduct housing assessments for eviction prevention and shelter requests. • Provide emotional support and crisis de-escalation to callers. • Schedule appointments and complete warm hand-offs for callers in need of further assistance. • Follow up with clients to ensure their needs are being met and provide ongoing support. • Document all calls and interactions thoroughly and accurately in the electronic system. • Participate in supervision and debriefing sessions as required. • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the Care Control Operations Room and lobby areas. • Assist in training new Care Control staff and participate in team meetings. Requirements • Bachelor's Degree in Social Work or a related mental health field with a minimum of 120 college credits. • One year of community mental health experience or lived experience is preferred. • Crisis Worker Certification preferred, with a requirement to complete it within 12 months of hire. • Proficient computer skills, particularly with Microsoft Products. • Strong communication skills, both oral and written. Nice-to-haves • Crisis intervention training or certification. • Experience in a call center environment. • Knowledge of local and statewide community resources.
