Business Development Representative (Construction – Dallas, TX)Location: Remote / Work From Home (Local candidates preferred)Base Salary Range: $100,000 – $150,000 (DOE) + CommissionOn-Target Earnings (OTE): $200,000 – $300,000+About the Company:A long-established piping and fabrication subcontractor serving industrial construction markets across energy, mining, chemical, water treatment, and manufacturing sectors. With decades of experience, the company provides specialized services including skid systems, pressure vessels, process piping, and field services. As it expands into new geographic markets, it is hiring two Business Development Representatives to drive growth and secure project opportunities.Position Overview:This is a hunter-style business development role focused on identifying and converting industrial construction opportunities. As a Business Development Representative, you will build relationships with general contractors, subcontractors, and project owners to position the company as a preferred subcontractor for piping and fabrication scopes.You’ll play a key role in growing the company’s footprint in the Dallas market by generating new leads, attending industry events, and collaborating with internal teams on estimates and proposals.Key Responsibilities:
Identify and pursue industrial construction opportunities where the company can be a subcontractor
Leverage existing relationships with GCs, subs, and project owners to drive new business
Build and manage a pipeline of qualified leads in sectors such as mining, energy, water, and manufacturing
Attend industry functions, pre-bid meetings, and site visits to expand visibility and access
Collaborate with internal estimating and operations teams to align proposals with client needs
Report on sales activities, forecasts, and pipeline developments to leadership
Maintain a professional presence in all client-facing interactions
Ideal Candidate Profile:
Based near Dallas (local knowledge is essential)
Proven background in business development or construction sales
Experience working with or for general contractors or subcontractors
Familiarity with industrial construction projects (e.g., mining, oil & gas, water treatment, manufacturing)
For Phoenix: Knowledge of the regional mining sector is a strong advantage
Strong network and reputation within the regional construction ecosystem
Self-starter with a high degree of autonomy, drive, and accountability
