Full-Time AI Operations Lead (Contract, Remote)
Location: 100% Remote
Compensation: $140,000–$180,000 annual (contractor basis) + performance incentives
Hours: 40 hours/week (with flexibility for project demands)

We’re a $5M marketing agency specializing in websites, SEO, PPC, OTT, and social marketing for the remodeling and home services industries. We’re scaling fast and want to integrate AI into everything — from building websites faster to automating SEO content to streamlining reporting and social workflows.
Our core leadership team operates as 1099 contractors, so you won’t be a bolt-on — you’ll be a key decision-maker in a fast-moving, entrepreneurial environment where autonomy, accountability, and execution are valued above everything else.
The Role
As our AI Operations Lead, you will own our AI transformation. You’ll map our current workflows, identify high-impact opportunities for automation, and execute solutions — building, testing, and scaling systems to improve performance across every department.
This is a full-time contractor role (1099), but you’ll function as a core member of the leadership team, driving our AI roadmap and embedding automation into the DNA of our operations.
Key Responsibilities
Strategy & Roadmapping
Audit existing workflows across website production, SEO, PPC, OTT, and reporting.
Build a 12-month roadmap for AI adoption with clear milestones and ROI targets.
Stay ahead of AI tools and trends to keep us competitive.
Execution & Implementation
Build and manage no-code and low-code automations (Zapier, Make, Airtable, HubSpot, etc.).
Integrate AI tools into:
Website build pipelines
SEO content production (blogs, geo pages, internal linking)
Social content scripting, resizing, and posting workflows
Automated client reporting dashboards and daily summary emails
Partner with our in-house dev lead for deeper technical builds or custom integrations.
Team Training & SOPs
Train staff to adopt and optimize AI workflows.
Create clear documentation and SOPs for all AI processes.
Drive a culture where AI is an everyday tool, not a novelty.
Optimization & Reporting
Measure the performance of AI-driven systems.
Continuously iterate to improve speed, accuracy, and quality of outputs.
Report regularly to leadership on cost savings, time savings, and performance metrics.
Requirements
Must-Have Skills
3–5 years in marketing operations, automation, or AI workflow roles.
Expertise with automation tools like Zapier, Make, Airtable, and prompt engineering for LLMs.
Strong understanding of digital marketing (SEO, PPC, web, social, and reporting workflows).
Comfort with APIs and light coding for custom integrations.
Proven ability to execute and ship, not just strategize.
Nice-to-Have Skills
Experience with Python or JavaScript scripting.
Prior work at a marketing agency with high-volume production.
Experience fine-tuning or customizing AI models for specialized tasks.
