About the position Responsibilities • Provide clerical support for the Health Services Division operations. • Fill out and submit adult-in-custody (AIC) Medicaid applications to Oregon Health Authority (OHA). • Communicate with Central Administration, OHA, and Third-Party Administrator (TPA) regarding application submissions. • Meet with AICs to gather necessary information for Medicaid applications. • Track and monitor Medicaid application submissions, eligibility, enrollment, and suspension status. • Review medical invoices for prospective employee pre-employment exams. • Assist with maintenance and updates to division's policies, procedures, protocols, forms, and administrative rules. • Provide general administrative support to division's Contract Administrators. • Purchase supplies and equipment through AFAMIS and Office Max. • Support the division's training team by coordinating new training module approvals. Requirements • Two years of secretarial or basic administrative support experience including records processing and document generation. • An associate degree in general office occupations and one year of relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. • Strong communication skills (verbal and written). • Ability to work independently and manage confidential information. Nice-to-haves • Medical coding experience. • Familiarity with medical terminology. • Experience in a medical office setting. • Experience working in a law enforcement or correctional environment.
