Position Details:
• Location: Columbia, SC
• Schedule: Full-Time | Monday–Friday | School hours
• Level: High School (Grades 9–12)
• Start Date: August 2025
• Subject: Spanish I, II, and possibly upper-level depending on placement
What You’ll Do:
• Develop engaging lesson plans aligned with state and national language standards
• Foster a classroom environment that encourages student participation and cultural appreciation
• Assess and track student progress, adapting instruction as needed
• Collaborate with other teachers, counselors, and administrators to support students academically and emotionally
• Incorporate diverse teaching methods including project-based learning, speaking activities, and cultural immersion
• Inspire students to see language learning as a bridge—not a barrier
Requirements
• Bachelor’s degree (required)
• Valid South Carolina Teaching Certificate with Spanish (Foreign Language) endorsement
• OR be eligible for certification through reciprocity or alternative certification pathways
• TB test and health clearance (per district guidelines)
• Classroom management and instructional experience at the high school level preferred
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
