Role Description The Data Analyst will play a key role in crafting intuitive, insightful, and rigorous analyses that inspire and guide our clients to implement new student mobility innovations. The ideal candidate is a quick learner, is self-motivated, is analytically gifted, has a drive for creative optimization, and can manage data processes from beginning to end. • Lead assigned analysis projects from start to finish, delivering results on time while collaborating effectively with colleagues on resources and timelines. • Perform in-depth data analysis with self-direction and accuracy, building models to optimize transportation operations and enhance efficiency for school systems. • Develop and run reusable Python scripts to automate processes and conduct data analysis. • Deploy clear commenting and process documentation to ensure the code is decipherable and usable by other staff members. • Create and maintain Excel, Google Sheets and other models for consultative projects and or internal operational use. • Use business knowledge, code scripts, and software processes to clean, spot-check, and prepare data from various sources. • Continuously enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of technical task and project delivery, ensuring streamlined processes and minimizing any operational bottlenecks. • Ensure the accuracy and reliability of technical deliverables through application of rigorous quality control measures and review processes. • Integrate data from multiple sources to ensure accuracy, consistency, and accessibility across systems. • Summarize, visualize, and present findings to clients in a clear, concise, and engaging manner. • Leverage GIS software to produce informative and actionable maps and geospatial insights for both client-facing and internal projects. • Communicate methodologies, assumptions, results, and the significance of analyses through clear written reports and presentations. • Collaborate closely with business stakeholders to understand client needs and challenges, translating these into actionable data insights to guide decision-making and strategic initiatives. • Uphold and contribute to the continuous improvement of company code documentation standards and data governance policies, ensuring data quality, privacy, and security. Qualifications • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Finance, Industrial Engineering, or a related field • Two (2) years of analytic experience in a relevant field • Experience in data operations in transportation, logistics, or K-12 Education preferred Requirements • Proficiency in Python & SQL • Proficiency working with data visualization tools such as Microsoft PowerBI • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Google Sheets • Proficiency working with APIs • Experience with GIS software Core Competencies • User-focus: Maintains consistent focus on the overarching purpose of analyses, ensuring analyses meet user needs while considering the user experience and perspective. • Self-motivation: Takes initiative, working independently with minimal supervision, setting clear goals, and driving progress. • Problem-solving: Tackles complex data projects with persistence, creativity, and a strong curiosity to find innovative solutions. • Attention to details: Effectively manages multiple tasks, prioritizing work to deliver thorough, error-free results on-time. • Effective communication: Exhibits strong communication skills, both written and verbal, to engage diverse stakeholders clearly and professionally.
